Description
Hi, I'm Mark. My place is a country house in Billingshurst on the edge of the South Downs National Park (about 5km away). The house was my grandparents and my mum grew up here, now I live here. The room is a large, south facing double with a shared bathroom (just me). The house has a generous living room and kitchen and a huge garden you can enjoy for sitting out, eating, having a fire / BBQ etc. Billingshurst is accessible by train from London (Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars). The space The guest bedroom is a large, south facing double room with views towards the South Downs. The bathroom is shared with me only. It is a clean room with a shower and a bath along with a towel drying rack. The living room is a nice large room with a big corner sofa and dining table. I don't have a TV but there is wifi so if you want to watch a film or something then best to bring a device. I have an office you could use by arrangement if you need to work, just ask. The kitchen is a nice little space facing the garden with everything you need to make a good meal. The utility room has a washing machine and drier available. The garden is a lovely big, fenced garden perfect for sitting out in the sun or for a fire / BBQ in the evening. Guest access Free on street parking in the area. You can usually get a spot in the lay-by outside the house on West Street. The village is quite small and you can walk everywhere. There are a few pubs, some shops and a small supermarket, a few restaurants and a couple of cafes. The wider area has lots of lovely little villages with country pubs etc. You can walk or cycle easily to some lovely spots like the Bat and Ball pub which is across the fields and serves food grown in their garden. Other things to note The skies are incredible here on a clear night, I love sitting out in a warm coat and watching the night skies. I'm a keen cyclist and walker so I'm very bike friendly. Happy to lock bikes up inside. I can also give you advice on routes to takes in the local area. I have a cat called Billy so you'll see him lurking around.
