Nestled in the Fish Hoek Valley, at the heart of the Cape Peninsula, surrounded by mountains, moments away from the beach, public transport & shops. The Gap House welcomes you to enjoy the natural splendors of the South Peninsula. The space The Gap House has a unique charm to it, with its eclectic style and surprising mountain views. The house seems never ending with it's many nooks, crannies, bedrooms and ensuite bedrooms. But the vibe is so chilled - It becomes ever so easy to pick up a classic novel from the bookshelf and settle into the armchair next to the fire. Or spread out over the L-shaped leather couch in front of the HD TV - streaming Netflix or more importantly - the rugby. The luxurious TV lounge leads off and outside to the back garden where the pool, outside dinning and braai place is situated. While the living room is open plan flowing between the kitchen and dining room. This tends to be the hub of where the activities take place. However, the most attractive gesture of the open plan living room are the doors that lead to the front garden, where one can lay on the grass and catch the lazy afternoon sun. Nothing goes unthought of when it comes to cooking and braaing. The owners are foodies and are sure to be stocked up on everything that one would need to make a delicious meal. Choose between dining outside underneath the stars or inside near the warmth of the fireplace. Whatever lights your fire, entertaining and meal times will surely be the highlight of your summer vacation at this location. Stroll to the beach, or take the kayak for a spin, lay by the pool or dander up into the mountains. Fish Hoek really has it all. Whatever it is you feel like doing with your time in Fish Hoek, the Gap House is surely equipped for you to enjoy it thoroughly. Guest access Guests are asked to make themselves at home - and with such a request we open our home for you to enjoy. In return we ask that our property is well respected, as if it were your own. There is a self contained cottage on the property which is equipped for 2 ppl. This can also be hired if it is available. In which case the entire property is all yours - there will be no one else occupying it. However, if the cottage is occupied, you may have to share the off street parking and backyard pool area. Otherwise the cottage should not interfere with your use of the property as it is contained in a specific area. With your stay you have access to parking the full main house, the outdoor areas including pool, braai, outside dinning and front garden. We keep one room locked with our personal belongings in it. We also kindly ask that you do not use any of our surfing equipment that is stored on the property,as that is not included in the accommodation Rate. One should note that if any damages to the property are incurred during your stay, then the owners will charge accordingly. Other things to note There is alot to explore in the area and we would be happy to share some of our local knowledge on the best places to visit like beaches, restaurants, hiking trails, scenic routes etc. So bring along your map and whatever toys you have to enjoy the great outdoors.
