Built in 1907, our charming, yet modern and updated home is located just steps from historic SE Hawthorne Blvd - less than two minutes walk from bars, restaurants, independent bookstores and shops. The space Nestled in the SE Hawthorne district, we're minutes walking from dozens of eclectic, independent clothing and antique shops. We're also a few blocks from Ben and Jerry's Icecream, Starbucks and other local coffee shops, Portland's famous Powell's Bookstore, a McMenamin's Bagdhad Theater and Pub and other bars, and more food carts and ethnic cuisines than you can stomach! At The Hawthorne Hangout, nothing is more important to us than giving our guests easy, quick, walk-able access to the best that Portland has to offer. We're also a straight shot 9 minute drive from crossing over one of Portland's famous bridges to downtown and Pearl District! This is a beautifully-remodeled modern 5 bedroom, 2 bath unit in the heart of SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, Oregon, with a walk score of 99. We built this space with luxury and comfort in mind and it is truly one of a kind in this area. Even including air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the Oregon summers. Our large home is 1600-sq feet, with plenty of space for the whole family or large business groups. We have 5 brand new queen beds with comfortable down comforters, duvets and large pillows. The bedrooms have large closets and dressers for clothing storage, and we have luggage racks to place your bags. Each nightstand has bedside lamps equipped with USB ports for charging your phone and other electronics. The unit has brand new stainless steel appliances, and a brand new couch and furniture for your comfort and convenience. The kitchen area has quartz countertops, and there's also a large table that can fit up to eight for small gatherings. We have plenty of dishware and cooking utensils for our guests, and a single serve coffee machine with coffee pods provided. The living room has a smart TV with Netflix and many other channels for your viewing pleasure. We're equipped with high-speed Wifi throughout the house. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, and extra towels are all provided for our guests' comfort. This is a perfect space for business travelers, families, or a quick weekend getaway. With 1600 square feet, you'll have plenty of room for the whole group! Take time in Portland to relax at nearby parks, enjoy nature in the Columbia River Gorge, or eat at one of the city's many famous restaurants. We also have heat, air conditioning, and a gas fireplace in the living room. There's free parking with room for two vehicles in the driveway. There is a short flight of stairs up to enter and exit the home. Those who have accessibility issues may want to consider this feature. There are windows in every room so it still gets good lighting. We have done our best to make this place feel like home by including local books, board games and even a fun interactive map where guests can share where they are from!
