The Odd Cottage is an old house with new tricks. Built in 1853, it stood during the time that Thomas Edison himself wandered the streets of historic Milan, Ohio. Inspired by his story, inside you'll find a modern space that's designed to enable both comfort and creativity. We're centrally located between the area's best attractions: North - Kalahari Resort / 10 min - Sports Force Park / 15 min - Cedar Point / 20 min South - Summit Motorsports Park / 10 min East - Edisons Birthplace / 3 min The space Our cozy hillside cottage sits on an acre of private land located a short drive from Cedar Point and an even shorter walk to historic Milan, Ohio. Perfect for families and small groups who want to coaster by day and cottage by night, we've modernized the home with plenty of comfortable and creative amenities. We sit on a cozy, corner lot surrounded by nature—best viewed from the game room or wraparound porch. Inside you'll find board games, a writers desk, a stocked coffee bar, and modern king suite with ensuite bathroom. The large, private yard is perfect for camp outs, bonfires, or backyard games—depending on the season. **FOR WINTER GUESTS: Being an old house, our space is best suited for smaller groups of 2-4 during the winter months. The king suite and living areas are equipped with formal heating. We offer a space heater upstairs, along with an air mattress should guests want to camp downstairs. Guest access We have a wraparound driveway and plenty of yard space for both cars and campers. Guests can easily walk to downtown Milan. Other things to note PETS If traveling with pets, please add them to your reservation. All pets are welcome, however we do ask for an additional cleaning fee to ensure the space is up to snuff for the guests that follow you. While you're here, we ask that you do not leave them unattended in the cottage. Should you need to leave them, please crate them indoors in a familiar cage. We appreciate the cooperation!
