This is an old house with new tricks. Built in 1853, it stood during the time that Thomas Edison himself wandered the streets of historic Milan, Ohio. Inspired by his story, inside you'll find a modern space that's designed to enable creativity, inspiration, and big ideas. Curated by a creative agency in Chicago, IL—Jingleheimer House springs to life with fun, artistic touches that capture everything we love about Milan. **Due to chillier temperatures, our space is best suited for smaller groups of 2-4 during the winter months. The king suite and living areas are equipped with formal heating—the upstairs only has a space heater.** Our cozy hillside cottage sits on an acre of private land located a short drive from Cedar Point and an even shorter walk to historic Milan, Ohio. Perfect for families and small groups who want to coaster by day and cottage by night, we've modernized the home with plenty of comfortable and creative amenities. A corner lot surrounded by nature (and a wraparound porch)—inside you'll find a puzzle parlor, writers desk, coffee bar, a modern king suite complete with mini fridge, and plenty of space for friends (and air mattresses). The large, private yard is perfect for impromptu camp outs, bonfires, and backyard games. Oh, and please make sure to sign our collaborative piece of artwork, The Graffiti Guestbook, on your way out! We have a wraparound driveway and plenty of yard space for both cars and campers. Guests can easily walk to downtown Milan. It’s likely you won’t see us during your stay, which allows more privacy and convenience. However, we are only a text away if you should have questions during your stay or want any local recommendations. Milan, Ohio is a small historic town known for being the birthplace of Thomas Edison. Guests can easily walk into town to explore the Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum, along with several small coffee, wine, and antique shops. We're also a short drive to the rollercoasters of Cedar Point, Lake Erie Islands, Norwalk Raceway, and several local wineries. PETS If traveling with pets, we ask that you do not leave them unattended in the cottage—should you need to leave them, we ask that you crate them indoors in a familiar cage. Note: please remember to register your pet(s) in your listing. (We'll know if you bring them—we have two very curious poodles next door.) All furry friends are welcome, however do ask for an additional cleaning fee to ensure the space is up to snuff for the guests that follow you. We appreciate the cooperation!
