Cosy Idyllic Cabin in South Devon

Description

A luxurious rustic haven away from it all. The luxury bits: French linen bedding, robes, soft towels, woodburner, a good book, no street lights.. You might just sleep better than you have in years. The rustic bits: In the winter the cabin is heated by the woodburner- or a portable gas fire if you prefer - there is no WiFi in the cabin and mobile reception very much depends on your network. And all the hot water runs on electricity. The space Our guests often say their stay in the cabin felt like a little pause from the real world. A moment to recharge. We've left it simple, without foregoing any of the little things that make a relaxing time away peaceful and happy. The kitchen is equipped, including a fridge and little oven, there's freshly ground coffee, tea, herbs teas, sugar, board games, books, and off-the-beaten-track magazines. But our wifi doesn't reach the cabin which we've not made any attempts to change. If you do need access to the internet, you are welcome to pick it up nearer to our house and connect to our network, but we also suspect that you'll be quite glad of the excuse to ignore your emails for a brief moment. Guest access The cabin is accessed through our garden, and you are most welcome to share the garden with us during your stay. The cabin and it's decking area are sheltered by apple trees and bushes for your privacy and are all yours and only yours during your stay and you'll have your own key for 24hr access. Other things to note Your cabin is exclusively yours during your stay, but you will probably see us around, perhaps in the main garden. We won't disturb you though, and we'll leave you in peace unless you'd like a chat or need anything. The cabin has a great little woodburner which heats the space wonderfully once it's going, but you'll want to be familiar and safe with fire-making during winter visits to use it. Alternatively, we've added a gas heater to the cabin if you feel more confident using that instead of the woodburner. It's not as romantically wood-scented or lovely to sit by, but it will keep you quickly and easily toasty during winter visits. The duvet is winter-weight 13 tog, and the cabin is wool-insulated so it's warm and cosy once heated, but you'll want to be happy with the bring-your-woolly-socks lifestyle that goes with starting one of the fires of a frosty morning. We have a beehive in the garden. It's a very safe distance from the cabin, and our bees are far too busy making honey and shouldn't pay you the least bit of attention, but do give them space and take the usual precautions of carrying an epi pen with you if you know you are allergic to bee stings.
