Freshly decorated, spacious, comfy and cosy Taigh nan Caorach (House of the Sheep) stands by the riverbank at the Highland Club Fort Augustus Abbey. This self-catering cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday or for couples looking for a romantic break. Patio doors leading out to the patio, equipped with table and chairs. This is a wonderful sun spot with views over the river and woods. Inside, gas central heating with a lovely wood burning stove, so also perfect for a winter break. Open Plan Living Room: With the lovely wood burning stove, 2 comfortable sofas, TV (Freeview) and DVD player, unlimited Wi-Fi and books. Kitchen: The good-sized kitchen is fitted with granite worktop, fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a full complement of high quality kitchen equipment and utensils such as coffee maker, kettle, blender and toaster. The dining table seats 6. Bathrooms: Both bathrooms have a bath, the en-suite also has a shower cubicle with power shower. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails and hair dryer. The family bathroom is downstairs. The master bedroom: has a king-size bed, a built in double wardrobe and en-suite bath/shower room. Bedroom 2: The twin bedroom has 2 comfortable beds and a large wardrobe. Extras included in booking: Highland Club facilities include heated indoor swimming pool Welcome pack. Guest access As a guest, the facilities at the Highland Club are available. These include the loch-side restaurant, heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, outdoor and indoor table tennis, giant chess set in the cloister gardens and of course the members room (WiFi access), situated in the Great Hall, with full size snooker table and relaxing seating area. WiFi access also available in the apartment. PETS ARE WELCOME. Typical rules apply; on lead and under contol at all times, kept off furniture and restricted to lower level of the cottage, clean up foul. As a guest, you will have access to facilities in the Highland Club. Facilities include *heated indoor swimming pool, *tennis court, outdoor and indoor table tennis, giant chess set in the cloister gardens and of course the members room (WiFi access), situated in the Great Hall, with full size snooker table and relaxing seating area. WiFi access also available in the apartment. *Swimming pool opening hours are 9am-6pm, extended in the summer. Please use online booking in system that is provided. *The swimming pool complex and tennis court are operated by the facilities organisation, Highland Club Management Company. The swimming pool complex is outhwith the control of Highland Club Scotland and is seperate from your holiday rental. We will send details for the booking system before your arrival. When you arrive at the gate, press the green button and come to the end of the driveway where the road forks to the left and right. Park in one of the arrival bays on the right hand side and call or text. You log onto the Highland Club WiFi with password 01320132. We will come outside to meet you. Upon your arrival at The Highland Club, one of our team members will take ONE member of your group to your apartment. You will then be shown how to work the main items in the apartment, such as the heating and gas cooker. We will offer some brief health and safety advice and answer any questions you may have. Our office hours are generally 10am till 8pm. Check ins after 9pm must be pre-arranged. Check in after 9pm is with £30 charge, check ins after 11pm is with £75 charge.
