Balat is surrounded by plenty of beautiful cafes and restaurants. You can see around local people, travellers, tourists, hipsters, mods all together, who choose to be integrated to the living old spirit of Istanbul in this area. You can spend your time at one of salesrooms and buy antiques with local way of sales. You can reach by 4 minutes walk to bus station direction to Eminönü and Taksim you can also take tram to Sultanahmet, Levent etc. You can also take ferry to asian side.
