The local area has walking, hiking and mountain biking routes in abundance for you to choose from. You can climb the hills for the higher viewpoints or simply walk or cycle along the disused railway which has been turned into a path weaving its way through the valley to follow the path of the river. The 2 main bedrooms have Ziplock beds, these can be made up as either double beds, or 2 singles. Bunk Beds are in the 3rd bedroom - please do state the arrangement you would like on booking. We switched to a specialist Holiday Cottage cleaning firm in January 2020 & have all completed the Covid 19 cleaning protocol training Airbnb provide so will make sure your stay is as safe as it possibly can be ahead of your stay - it is going to be so very wonderful to welcome guests back into the cottage again! Guest access Guests will have full access to all 3 bedrooms, bathroom, dining room, lounge, kitchen, garden & outside brick built storeroom. Other things to note Please note, there are no stairgates fitted so if you think they will be required please bring travel stairgates with you. We will accept up to two well behaved dogs by prior arrangement, £20 per dog per stay & ask that any damage is compensated. Please also note that this is our home away from home - The house is an old Miners Cottage, built in 1901 & is a fabulous slice of Welsh history in itself. It has uneven floorboards that creak a bit upstairs, an original staircase that's a little steeper than newer houses, original stained glass in some areas inside the cottage - it's a fun space that has character inside & out - but it is not a Boutique Hotel, so please do not expect the style & finish of one - we think it's cosy & a great place to relax after a day out on the hills and hope you do too. This property is situated on a main road, so there is potential for noise. Please also note that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions in the services provided by outside companies, such as internet, gas, electric etc - we will always do what is possible to rectify any issues and we are only human when dealing with utility companies....
