Wonderful train and bus transport to the City, Fremantle, the beaches, etc. the public transport is fantastic. You hardly need a car, although if you do have one, you have your own allocated, secure car bay at the apartment. From the airport a taxi takes about 25 minutes or you can take a shuttle bus to the city and a train from there to Subiaco.
