About an hour to drive to Washington, D.C. with exciting museums on the "Mall" between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol. Skyline Drive in the Appalachian Mountains with stunning views from the outlooks is about 40 minutes away. The space 5 acres (25000m2) in the woods provide tranquility and relaxation. Perfect also as a base for guests who want to go to the capital and enjoy the outdoors as well. Guest access Guests can use the kitchen and all of the outdoor property. Occasionally we have campfires with social meetings with other guests. This usually ends up in a cook out and a lot of fun on our deck which also serves as breakfast area in the morning and when weather allows it. During your stay We will help with detailed information about the local attractions in this area, which includes recommendations for local restaurants which also serve brunch on weekends. Other things to note Excellent restaurants and shopping about 8 miles away in Warrenton and Culpeper. RT 211 west will lead directly to Skyline Drive in the Appalachian Mountains and Shenandoah National Park including Luray Caverns, one of the biggest and most beautiful caverns globally. The stalactite organ in the dome like center of the caverns is famous. Bridal couples are coming from thousands of miles away to get married there.
