Description
Cummins Camp is nestled in the woods on the shore of Lake Superior. The front windows afford views of a woodland pond, Lake Superior and the city of Marquette in the distance. A short walk will take you to miles of clean sugar sand beach and crystal clear water. Ducks, geese, herons and eagles are frequent visitors. Downtown Marquette is 4 miles away. At the end of the driveway is the Iron Ore Heritage Trail/North Country Scenic Trail. It connects to other hiking and biking trail systems in Marquette. This is a non-motorized trail in the summer and snowmobile trail in the winter. Marquette Mountain (downhill skiing), and several cross country ski trails, including the Noquemanon trail network are within 10 miles. Cummins Camp has a large living room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a double, and two bathrooms on the main floor. There is an additional double bed in the finished basement. There is a screened porch on the back and a deck overlooking the lake. Amenities include dish washer, washer and dryer, cable tv, wi-fi and a wood burning fireplace. There is no land line and no air conditioning (the lake usually provides its own cool air).
