Ghoirtein Bed and Breakfast - ground floor bedroom

Our house is Architect designed with wonderful views over the valley towards Glen Affric and the mountains. We are 4 miles from the very busy town of Drumnadrochit so if you like peace and quiet this is the place to be. The house is situated within 8 acres of woodland with a small lochum. We also have 10 hens, 8 ducks and 1 cat. The garden is full of wild life and birds, we have red squirrel, foxes and pine martins. Unfortunately we cannot take children under the age of 7 years old. The space The Bedroom we offer is a good size, thoughtfully furnished and equipped using our knowledge as hoteliers. You can book the Double room for 1 or 2. This room is on the ground floor. We offer a continental breakfast buffet of cereals, toast, croissants and we are happy to offer a boiled egg. Our eggs come from our own chickens which free range in part of the garden. Our check in times are between 5 pm and 8 pm. If you wish to check in earlier then please let me know before 11 am on the day of arrival as we might be going out and not back until 5 pm. When you arrive you can take a key and come and go as you wish. The house is set in 8 acres of woodland. If you are travelling to us from Skye please note it will take you nearly 3 hours so make sure you leave there in time to get to us by 8 pm. We do ask this as late arrivals disturb other guests and our neighbours. Guest access You are more than welcome to explore the garden which is quite wild. We also keep different types of chickens and a few ducks. We have recently purchased another 5 acres of woodland and are in the process of making access to it from the original garden. We are purely a bed and breakfast so do not offer cooking/eating facilities to our guests. We do expect our guests to go out to eat and not bring food back to their rooms and are very happy to make a reservation at a local pub/restaurant for you. There is a space with a table and chairs, outside overlooking the garden but under cover where you can take food and drink. During your stay We are available during the day, although we might be down the garden or sitting in the boat house - just come and find us. We are happy for our guests to sit in the lounge, balcony or in the garden during the day. During the evening this area is used by us to relax. Other things to note We also have 1 cat - he is not allowed in the guest bedrooms but he does follow me around as he is very friendly and likes people. His name is Sam.
