The bedrooms are located in a private annex that is accessible via the main front door. The adjacent rooms have private and exclusive use of the adjacent bathroom which has a large heated towel rail, large sink and an extra large shower with two powerful shower heads (one over-head and another wall mounted). There is a mini fridge available should you wish to keep anything cold. The Swallow's Nest is part of our home. Please see detailed directions in the location section. Guest access Guest access is via the front door and a key will be provided if necessary. Parking is available outside the front door and help can be offered with any luggage. There is a large comfortable hall with 2 sofas, a wall of books and wood burner in the winter - this is where our guests can relax after their journey and during the day or evening. The hall is where you will eat your breakfast, usually a pot of homemade Bircher Muesli made with yogurt and seasonal fruit and some warm croissants with jam, honey or marmalade with a pot of real coffee and a selection of tea or herbal tea. The Swallow's Nest is one of the few places in the UK where you can not only hear these incredibly rare birds trumpeting as they soar high in the sky but you can see them foraging for food on the Moor and during the year you will see snipe, red shanks, Cettis warblers, lapwings, yellow wagtails, skylarks, golden plover, widgeon, marsh harriers, hobbies, buzzards, kestrels, barn owls, stonechat, kingfishers and the famous starling murmurations.
