The Gioia Traditional House welcomes you to its colorful courtyard, offering you its hospitality in Kiliomenos, one of the most picturesque mountain villages of Zakynthos. Unique for those looking for a peaceful natural environment and a sense of outdoor life, ideal for those who wish the comforts and the feeling of family atmosphere, the Gioia Traditional House, is built in 1817. The stone and the wood are perfectly combined with the stylish decoration of the interiors. The space The Gioia Traditional House to families, couples or groups. The bright rooms have the capacity to accommodate up to 5 people. There are two large separate bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed, and the second one with a double bed. The rooms located on the top floor of the house offer through their windows panoramic views of the green landscape, spread around, filled with the natural coolness of the air that comes from the mountain pine trees. The house has been built according to the traditional mountain architecture with thick walls, small internal stairs that lead from one space to the other and the wooden ceilings with the exposed beams. Particularly special are also the traditional wooden furniture and the stone constructions that complement the furnishings, such as the sofas and the fireplace, and the stylish decorative objects. Everything creates a sweet atmosphere that gives the sense of a warm and hospitable home. The special enjoyment of staying at the Gioia Traditional House is completed by the outdoor areas of the large veranda and the flourish courtyard. The spacious covered veranda with the open-air dining area and the balcony with the coffee table is the place where you can have your breakfast surrounded by the colours of the sunrise or relax during the evening enjoying the coolness of nature. The sense of freedom felt is really amazing within this unique scenery created by the light blue sky and the green carpet of the earth. The large terrace is also ideal for your children's games, and the same is large yard. Mrs. Zoe has planted roses, daisies, geraniums, rich cool foliage and trees. In addition, you have your own special corner for your coffee with the necessary table and the stone sofa. Mrs. Zoe, the hostess, welcomes you to her home with great joy caring to please you with her gifts that generously offers you. So, she has ready for you the first supplies in food: coffee, water jam sugar, butter, bread, orange juice, local oil and a bottle of sweet wine. In addition, she has filled a basket with traditional treats and goodies, most by her own hands: Liqueur from forest or other fruit, traditional cookies, wine, olive oil, tsipouro and bread for the Zakynthian ''vrehtoura'' (she will explain to you how it is done so delicious!) and handmade white olive oil soap. She can also offer you when available fresh eggs from her chickens, walnuts, almonds and cool seasonal fruit. In the bathroom you will find the first items of personal hygiene and care (shampoo, bubble bath, soap) until you get your own so that you can freshen up when you get there. According to current legislation, a climate resilience tax of €8.50 per night is applied. This tax is not included in the booking price and is payable upon arrival in cash. Guest access At the Gioia Traditional House you can freely use all the interior and exterior areas. The hosts ask you to be careful about your safety on the stairs and not to leave children unattended on these points and the outdoor terrace.
