The Oyster Room, 200 metres from Exmouth Beach

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE LISTING BEFORE YOU BOOK The Oyster Room is a bijou double room in our home, 200 yards from the beach, backing onto the marina in Exmouth, Devon. Suitable for singles or couples looking for a home stay close to the beach & local amenities. Direct beach access from property via road to beach for water sports & swimming, less than 2 mins from the beach. Paid parking in nearby car park, 5 mins away. There is no on street parking as this is a residents only street. The space PLEASE READ THE WHOLE LISTING BEFORE YOU BOOK. Bijou contemporary room in our home. Shared bathroom (with us only) with shower, basin and toilet. Proper BIG fluffy towels provided. Please bring your own shower gel, shampoo and hair products. A hairdryer is provided. Biscuits or cake, along with a selection of hot drinks, will be provided on arrival and served in the sitting room. This is the only time the sitting room is available for your use. Following guest feedback, we no longerprovide breakfast as standard, however if you ask us when you book, we can provide a continental breakfast with toast, yoghurt, fruit and croissants for a small extra cost. Alternatively we recommend Mariners, Franklins or Bumble & Bee for awesome breakfast options within walking distance. We would ask you to vacate the room and house by no later than 10.00 a.m. each day. Return available from 4.00 p.m. We ask that you respect our private spaces of the garden and conservatory. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is at the end of the road with a beach overlooking the Exe estuary. Exmouth main sandy beach is a 5 minute walk away and Orcombe Point a happy 30-40 minute seafront stroll, via the lovely Hangtime cafe and new watersports centre. We use vegan cleaning products that are not harmful to the environment and a steam cleaner to ensure the space is clean as appropriate. We are a fully non-smoking/non-vaping site. You will be asked to leave if you smoke or vape, including out of the window. In compliance with AirBNB policy we confirm do not have any security cameras on or in the property. We also do not have any SMART devices you will need to turn off. There is no TV in your room but you will have access to Wifi. for your own devices. We would politely suggest if you are still wearing a mask - or considering following any new directive on this at any time - as a left over from the last few years, that you do not book our property. There is a CAT and a small DOG on the premises. If you are allergic to CATS or DOGS PLEASE DO NOT BOOK. We cannot accept bookings with dogs or other pets. NO food (takeaways or food brought in) in the bedroom or you will be asked to leave. There are plenty of restaurants locally and a perfectly lovely beach for a picnic. Guest access During your stay you will have access to the hallway, entrance, bedroom, shared bathroom - and kitchen for breakfast only. Access to the sitting room, our garden and our conservatory is not allowed within the booking. You will be asked to leave if you do not respect our personal space. We appreciate that most guests would not do this so please do not think we are being harsh or unwelcoming. We have just learned the hard way that if we do not say then we cannot say once you arrive. During your stay We live on the premises and this is a room in our home. We also work on site. We will be available for check-in & out, in the mornings for breakfast and contactable on mobiles the rest of the time. We would ask that you leave the property in a morning no later than 10.00 to allow us to clean the room, and not return until 4.30 p.m onwards. We will provide a key for front access to the house (bedroom, upstairs bathroom after 4.30 p.m). We are sorry but no food is to be consumed in the property - and no takeaways to be brought onto the premises. There are lots of lovely restaurants close by and we can provide a picnic blanket if you wish to take a picnic, or grab a takeaway for the beach. The back beach is particularly pretty at sundown. Our home is available for ROOM ONLY only with breakfast on request. Other things to note There is a CAT AND small DOG on the premises. Please see full listing and do not book if you are in anyway allergic, as we will not compromise our pet's access to their home. We only say this as we've had 3 people book who were allergic to cats and had not read the listing. No food (takeaways or food brought in) in bedroom or you will be asked to leave.
