Description

A 30ha home and rural property located on the iconic Snowy River and with views to the mountains. This property is 10 mins drive from the Jindabyne township and 20 mins drive to Kosciuszko National Park The space Tent: The Mary Kingsley Please note, this is a retreat for 1-2 adult guests only. We do not cater to children or pets. We provide a quality eco-tourist glamping experience in a sustainable setting for people to reconnect with the ones they love and recharge their body and soul through nature. Being 100% off grid forces you to get back to basics. For me, those basics include a good cup of coffee on the riverbank quietly watching the platypus. Your tent is 5 meters x 5 meters and has a queen bed with linen and bath towels provided. Your tent also has its own verandah and lounge. There is a gas heater inside the tent. For your safety we ask you turn the heater off when you go to bed. There is a gas patio heater on the verandah. Inside your tent there is a kitchenette (no plumbed water) and coffee machine and outside there is a BBQ for cooking. Kitchen supplies (cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, tea towels , washing up liquid) kitchen pantry basics (tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil, tomato sauce) Bar fridge and esky (BYO ice for the esky) You have your own private bathroom with shower and composting toilet. Camp chairs, torches, and picnic blankets provided Outdoors fire pit is available but subject to Rural Fire Service restrictions of use during bushfire season. SHARED ACCESS AREA: You can access the Snowy River via 4wd road or walk down the hill (approx 300 meters). Down on the riverbank there is an additional sheltered weather resistant kitchen set up BBQ and gas top stove and oven and an all weather lounge area. Running water is supplied however you may choose to bring drinking water (we happily drink the local water however others may prefer filtered drinking water). Fire pit is available but subject to Rural Fire Service restrictions of use during bushfire season. You can swim in the river so bring your swimming towel. Kayaks and airmats are provided for use on the property also. We do ask people not to fish in this section of the river as there are platypus, and the water is shallow in spots - lost lures in bare feet is a quick way to ruin a day. Solar power for charging your phone and laptop is provided however there is no wifi and there is limited mobile reception, so we recommend bringing a good book etc. Access to the property is on 3 kilometers of private dirt road; livestock, kangaroos, deer, and other wildlife regularly share this road. The road and access to your tent is 2WD friendly but access to the shared river area is 4wd or walking only. Guest access You will have your own tent with a queen size bed with stunning views of the mountains and river, verandah, and inbulit and dining area on your verandah. You have a private bathroom with shower and compositing toilet. The Snowy River is approximately 300 meters from your space. Registration Details Exempt
