The space We are located in a green valley between the Vipava and Isonzo rivers, far from the noise and pollution of the city. Our area is special because it is an area that lends itself to various types of tourism. Food and wine: refined palates, lovers of good food, will be able to go to nearby Collio, an area of excellent wines and typical Friulian dishes. Hiking: the surrounding area is ideal both for rest and for Nordic Walking and mountain biking excursions. We recommend a tour along the paths, which start from the B&B towards the Sacred Area of Monte San Michele, which was the scene of the First World War, where the largest open-air war museum is set up. Of historical interest as from the B&B "Al Vecchio Glicine" you can easily reach all the cities of historical-artistic interest in Friuli Venezia Giulia: Gorizia which, due to the wealth of green areas, was called "The garden city" already in the nineteenth century or also “Austrian Nice” (6 Km), Trieste (30 Km) with nearby Miramare Castle (summer seat of the Habsburg family), Grado called "Island of the Sun" for its golden beaches (36 Km), Aquileia ancient city Romana (27 km), the Bay of Sistiana and Duino with the famous Castle of the Princes of Torre and Tasso (13 km), Cividale del Friuli, an ancient Lombard city (30 km), furthermore the border with Slovenia is only 2 km away, and here we recommend you visit the famous Postojna Cave (50 km). Finally, Trieste Airport is 15 km away, inside in the arrivals area there are the offices of the major car rental companies which are always open in conjunction with flight arrivals.
