The Wine Cellar was constructed to store wine but is on the ground floor not a hole in the ground. It now provides a wonderful open space for couples to relax alone or can be used in conjunction with the other cottages as a friendly space for family or friends to get together. The large kitchen/living area is equipped with enough cutlery and crockery to allow 12 people to eat together. The Wine Cellar has a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and an over bath shower....... The space The Lounge area has a double sofa bed that can sleep two, a second door to the bathroom allows access from the lounge area if required.Although the Wine Cellar is part of the main house it is a self contained annex* with separate entrance from the main courtyard into the lounge and another from the kitchen/living area into the main gardens. *Self contained but does hold the electrical connections for the rest of the house so in the unlikely event of an electrical problem in the house I would need to ask for access to flick the necessary switches. The Wine Cellar has central heating. Guest access The Wine Cellar is a completely self contained with its own front and back doors. The general grounds are shared space with whoever is staying at Sherwood but that still leaves plenty of space for everyone. Other things to note WiFi signal is variable.
