The Birch House

*Enquiries welcome re discounts for singles or couples and midweek and longer stays :)* Birch House is located in a quiet, gated complex with a communal solar heated swimming pool and tennis court. We are a short walk from Silverleaves beach, Anerie General Store and Cowes golf course and a 30 min walk into Cowes. Our home has a modern, Scandinavian feel with a fully equipped kitchen and pantry for guests who love to cook and versatile bedding options for families, couples and singles. The space Birch House can comfortably accommodate up to four couples or seven singles. The three bedrooms have the option of a king size bed or two king singles and the upstairs lounge room has a comfortable queen sized fold out bed. All linen is provided. The ground floor contains a bedroom with a walk in wardrobe and ensuite, a kitchen, lounge and dining area and a separate toilet. The lounge room has a blue tooth record player and the dining room table can seat up to ten people. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, a second living area with queen fold out couch and a TV, a bathroom with a shower and bath, and a balcony with a table and four chairs. Outside is a large deck and patio area with ample seating and an outdoor table. There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water to help prevent sand from the beach being tracked inside the house. Please note that there is no child gate for the stairs. Guests are welcome to use the communal swimming pool, tennis court and picnic tables but all owners corporation rules must be complied with and guests are requested to be respectful of our neighbours and any other guests who are using the communal facilities. Please also keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Guest access Our home is located in a gated community of 20 town houses. We all share the solar heated pool, the tennis court, the putting green, the sunken garden and two picnic tables. Other things to note We provide pool and beach gear, tennis rackets and balls, golf clubs and a couple of bikes for our guests to use. There's an outdoor lounge and an egg chair to relax in and a Weber bbq in the outdoor area. The nearly Silverleaves beach is a lovely safe beach for children and the patrolled surf beaches are a ten minute drive away. The walk into Cowes along the beach path takes around 30 minutes. You can also walk through Silverleaves, the nature reserve and along the Silverleaves beach. The 18 hole Phillip Island Gold club is across the road and there's a bowling alley and rock climbing gym around the corner.
