Description
This former "Miller's House" with period charm, located below its 17th century windmill, enjoys a unique 360-degree view of untouched nature. Here there are no neighbors on the horizon, you are alone in the world! However, you are in the heart of the beautiful Quercy Blanc region, close to all the sites that make it charming. The house is powered exclusively by solar energy and very simply equipped… An experience from another time where romance and disconnection are guaranteed! The space Read the details below carefully, as this rental is an extraordinary experience that is not suitable for everyone! - House 100% powered by electricity from a small solar installation. -The equipment is reduced to the essentials: gas stove, electric cooler (48 liter capacity), small gas fridge, gas water heater shower. - No Wi-Fi (but very good 4G reception), no TV, no washing machine -The solar installation is only for the light, the cooler and charging phones, to be used in moderation. - If the weather is bad, you may find yourself without electricity a few hours before the sun recharges the system... Don't panic because a gas fridge, auxiliary lamps and candles are provided for this case. - A barbecue, outdoor table, sun loungers are provided. -Two very beautiful swimming lakes are nearby (10 km). - No cleaning fee, but I ask tenants to contribute by following a small list of tasks to do before they leave. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home. They are alone on site and enjoy this unique natural setting in complete privacy. In the evening, no light pollution breaks the charm and admiring the stars is a real spectacle. Other things to note Equally close to the famous medieval village of Montcuq and Montaigu de Quercy (13 km), the house is close to many supermarkets, restaurants and markets. There are very nice walks to take around the house. You can quickly reach the Lot Valley, classified as a Great Site of Occitania. As you follow the winding Lot River, you can go canoeing, visit Cahors and its 14th-century Valentré Bridge (35 km), or Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, one of the most beautiful villages in France perched on a cliff (25 km after Cahors). The prehistoric decorated cave of Pech Merle is an hour's drive away.
