Stonechat Meadow Glamping

Stonechat Meadow is well named: a wide, quiet and supremely green spot that's visited not just by the little orange-breasted birds but by kestrels, skylarks, brown owls and tawny owls. Deer, foxes and rabbits also wander through this simple, family-run site that's set up to give visitors what they need without getting in the way of the outdoors and the Devon wildlife. Bring your binoculars, barbecue your bangers under star-filled night skies and settle in for a digital detox in deep countryside. The space The campsite consists of only 4 prospector tents, with 2 in each field, this way you can enjoy your privacy and the peace and quiet without being crowded on a busy campsite. The tents are designed to have ample space, indoors and out, with a cosy interior. Each tent sleeps 2 persons. The tents come with the essentials, with some added extras to make your stay more comfortable. INCLUDED WITH THE TENT – two single camp beds (can be pushed together) – quilted sleeping bags designed to ensure a good nights sleep – extra blankets and throws – hot water bottles upon request during the colder months – gas camping stove – cooking utensils – 2 camping chairs RECOMMENDED TO BRING – your favourite pillow – toiletries – towel – walking boots/wellies – binoculars Stonechat Meadow offers essential facilities and some personal touches we hope makes your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Homemade Devon cream tea or evening snacks can be provided during your stay. Please let us know in advance of your booking. HONESTY SHOP The honesty shop stocks the essentials for your stay as well as local produce. The local produce includes eggs, bacon and pork and other meats from a local butcher, the sausages on a barbecue are highly recommended. There are also indoor and outdoor seating areas by the shop for those wanting to enjoy an ale and socialise with other guests. Other things to note please book 48 hours in advance
