The space The apartment is situated on the ground floor of a traditional Edinburgh Victorian tenement, with spacious rooms and 11 ft high ceilings throughout. It has been recently renovated to a high standard, and the decor combines original period features with stylish contemporary touches. It comes fully equipped with all the comforts of home, including high speed internet/WiFi. At the front is a large, bright open-plan kitchen/living area featuring a large dining table. The modern kitchen includes a fan oven and new ceramic hob, full-size retro Smeg fridge, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee maker, as well a comprehensive set of cookware, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is a comfortable modern Danish sofa, traditional deep leather armchair and large screen Samsung smart TV for relaxing after exploring the city. The bedroom faces onto a quiet lawned garden, and includes an open wardrobe nook with abundant hanging space for clothes as well as a well-lit desk/work area. Additional clothing storage is provided by a large wooden dresser. The solid wood bed (140x200cm) features a firm Japanese pocket-sprung mattress with memory foam topper, and is fitted with hotel-calibre linens. Bedside bookshelves hold a selection of guidebooks, local history and fiction you are free to borrow during your stay; you are also welcome to browse our sizeable, and eclectic, book collection. A comfortable armchair and dimmable reading lamp provide a cozy retreat should you wish to take a break from sightseeing or work. There is a dedicated work space in the bedroom nook with a computer desk and 500 Mbps fibre internet suitable for remote working. The bathroom features a modern stall shower with a powerful shower head. We provide towels for guests, along with our favourite Faith in Nature natural toiletries.  The apartment has a washing machine for guests’ use located in the laundry closet, as well as a traditional ceiling-mounted pulley laundry drier in the hallway.
