Welcome to our comfortable family home for up to 5 guests. This charming 1930s house is full of original details and has been recently renovated to offer all modern comforts for a delightful stay in beautiful Haarlem. Enjoy the sunny garden and cozy garden house – the perfect base for exploring the city and its stunning surroundings. The city center and the beach are easily accessible by bike. A ride through the Kennemer Dunes is an unforgettable experience! The space The ground floor has been completely renovated into a spacious and comfortable living area, featuring French doors that open to the sunny garden and cozy garden house. Thanks to the many windows surrounding the home, natural light pours in beautifully throughout the day. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences, including a Quooker tap, coffee machine, steam oven, induction hob, and dishwasher. At the front of the house, a charming stained-glass window overlooks the green square we live on. The house and its surroundings are perfect for children of all ages. Within walking distance, you'll find several parks with playgrounds, a skatepark, basketball and football fields. There's an indoor swimming pool around the corner, and the beach is easily reachable by bike. Indoors, there’s plenty to enjoy: a large board game collection, a fully equipped PS4 set-up, and various gear for football, badminton, scootering, and more. In the living room, you’ll find a comfy sofa and a TV with an incredible soundbar, complete with free access to Spotify and Netflix. The entire floor has underfloor heating, and the adjustable lighting system lets you create the perfect atmosphere at any moment. Our home is ideally positioned to enjoy sunlight all day long. The peaceful garden features a large dining table and a generous parasol, perfect for outdoor meals and relaxation. When the evening cools down, retreat to the inviting garden house — our favorite spot — with a corner sofa, stove, and projector for cozy movie nights. The garage has an electric door and all the amenities you might need, and there’s free parking right next to the house. On the first floor, you’ll find the bathroom and the master bedroom, which includes a TV, a separate dressing room, a sunbed, air conditioning, and a luxurious 210x180 cm box spring bed. The second floor offers three additional bedrooms and a laundry room. One room has a single bed and a fun mezzanine play loft accessed via a ladder, complete with a TV and pillows. The second bedroom also has a single bed and air conditioning. The third room is set up as a game room and features a sofa bed. The laundry area is equipped with a washing machine and dryer. Guest access You have access to the entire house, except for the attic and a small office room on the first floor (not shown in the photos). The garage contains some personal belongings but can be used to store the garden cushions. Other things to note We warmly welcome families of up to 5 guests. We live here ourselves with 4 people and feel that our home is not suitable for large (friend) groups. While the house is spacious, it is not allowed to stay with more than 5 people. Our preference is for a family with up to 2 adults and 3 children. Four adults can be considered, provided they are two couples or related. We have a sweet and calm cat who prefers to stay at home. He is low-maintenance — his food, water, and litter box are all automated. If preferred, and if space allows, he can stay at a cat hotel. Please let us know when booking if you’d like this option.
