The house is exceptional. Stunning wide view of the sea, the mountains, the surrounding landscape. Huge garden. Silent area. Parking on the property. Sea is 10 minutes walk distance! A market is 150 meters far; restaurants, pizzerie in the area. The furniture is refined and functional for 6 people: 3 bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 with bunk bed). WIFI and linens included. Villa I Cardellini makes you feel at home, away from home! Have a look at another interesting house not far from the area. The space The house has wide spaces both indoor and outdoor. The interior of the house is on one floor. There are no architectural barriers for access. The rooms are as follows: - Wide living room with dining area and sitting area in front of the fireplace. The furniture consists of a big table and chairs for 8 people; one sofa for two people and armchairs; - littlr kitchen room with access to the living. There is no space in the kitchen to eat. - Hallway that separates the living area from the sleeping area. - One bedroom with double bed (160 x 200 cm); two chests of drawers and a wide wardrobe closet. - Second bedroom with double bed (160 x 200 cm) or, if necessary, with two single beds. Two chests of drawers. A wide wardrobe closet. - Third bedroom with two bunk beds. One desk and a wide wardrobe closet. - One bathroom with shower. - Second bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. - Wide terrace with sea view that runs along two sides of the house. The terrace is accessed from the living room and from a bedroom. The terrace is furnished with a table for dining out and relaxing armchairs. - Wide porch on the side of the entrance to the apartment. Under the porch there is a brick wood-burning oven. The porch is furnished with a table and chairs for dining. A kitchen window overlooks the porch for the passage of food. Not far from the porch is the outdoor brick barbecue. - Wide outdoor area with several quietness spots. There is room for everyone: children and adults such as: - Paved courtyard bordering the portico; in the courtyard there is an outdoor shower area with hot water, a sink; in the center of the courtyard there are two olive trees that shade the area. - Fenced green area with many relaxing areas (hammock, deck chairs, a fixed table for snacks) in the shade of Mediterranean trees. - Parking area inside the fenced property on paved pavement. Guest access Near the house "I Cardellini" there are other houses with fenced gardens and fields still in their natural landscape. In the village you can walk safely to reach the beach of the Bay and to do any daily shopping. Walking along paths along the scrub of Mediterranean vegetation, from the house you reach the esplanade overlooking the sea with the Spanish tower and an amazingly beautiful cove surrounded by white tuff rocks. Outside the village of Santa Caterina, you have to take the car to discover the beautiful landscapes and the countless beaches that are in the area; some beaches are a few kilometers away, others are further away until reaching the maximum point of San Giovanni di Sinis (30 km). The roads run between fields and wild landscapes; every now and then the road crosses some small villages. There is little traffic on the roads. Beaches are free and are not equipped with chairs and umbrellas. In almost all the beaches there are kiosks serving simple dishes, fried fish, sandwiches, ice cream and drinks. The kiosks are open from mid-June to mid-September. There are large parking areas near the beaches. In the months of July and August those parking spaces are subject to charges, but the price is cheap. The beaches to the south of Santa Caterina are considered to be among the most beautiful on the island. They are ideal for lovers of quiet beaches, as well as for lovers of cliffs, diving and sea sports. The whole area has beautiful landscapes that preserve intact natural scenery and the remains of old civilizations. Tourist facilities are modest and economic resources are scarce. Some neglects, any slight inconvenience that may be encountered along the way are the small price to pay to enjoy an uncontaminated and not too "civilized" environment. It brings back to its origins and it constantly radiates positive energies. Here we return to the true quality of life: rediscovering the charm of simplicity. Follow the "slow pace" of the island! Other things to note Many goldfinches (Cardellini) make their nests in the jasmine hedge that runs along the walls of the porch ; also a small turtle named "Victoria" will be the first to make your acquaintance. She is a regular inahbitant of the house. Casa i Cardellini has no particular architectural merits, but on the other hand it was designed specifically for making people happy during their holidays. In Casa I Cardellini you can enjoy of: - healthy rooms inside the house (cool in summer and warm in mid-seasons); - the first ray of sun that rises from the mountains behind the house until it sets in the sea in front; - spending time outdoors the day long (in the shade of the porch or under the branches of the trees); at night in the garden you will admire the stars on the sky and you will applaude the moon rising from behind the mountains. The position of the terraces and the portico protects from the mistral and sirocco winds. Many kinds of wind are often blowingt on the island. In the garden there are many small "refuge" corners for adults to relax and for children to play. Downstairs, in the basement of the house, there is a mini pied à terre with an entrance and a courtyard independent from the rest of the house. It is used exceptionally by the hosts.
