VIEWTIFUL HOMESTAY (part of Highland Cottages) is a spacious car accessible property located 7km before Mukteshwar. The Himalayas facing traffic free property at an altitude of 2000 meters is 60 km from Kathgodam. Your home for the stay is an entire Duplex apartment of 2000sq ft with 2BR+open fully equipped kitchen&living area (dishTV) +lower living room +free wifi +balcony+front/back yards and a Caretaker to look after your needs. Enjoy the scenic environs, privacy and have a great holiday! The space We have a full equipped kitchen all you have to do is bring your groceries or you may ask the caretaker to bring them for you. You may prefer to cook your own meals or you can ask the caretaker (who is also a good cook) to prepare them for you (there is no extra charge). There is no menu and you can decide on what to eat. You could also ask Virendra to give you a taste of the local cuisine like Madua Roti, Black Soya Bean Dal, local rajma, Alloo gutka, pahari cucumber raita, hemp chutney, etc. Guest access Explore the surrounding nature trails and fruit orchards. Visit nearby hill town of Mukteshwar, Bhalu Gaad Waterfalls, Shiva Temple, Lands' End @ Chauli ki Jhaali', etc.. Watch the spectacular sunrise / sunsets. View the Himalayan snow peaks from the balcony on a clear day. Other things to note The place is very private and one can really enjoy the solitude in the midst of beautiful surroundings. The nearest shop is a Km away and though the kitchen is equipped with basic needs for cooking but you can either pick up raw materials of your choice on the way or ask the caretaker to do so.
