Solomon Cottage

Recently renovated, we offer a quiet, relaxed, historic cottage in the heart of Evandale. Unwind in front of the open fire and enjoy a glass of local wine, surrounded by the picturesque setting and calm country life. Only 5 minutes from Launceston Airport and a short walk to Hotels, Bakery, Cafes for meals, and a short drive to vineyards and historic homesteads. The space Solomon Cottage is a beautiful rustic cottage in the heart of Evandale, situated behind Solomon House (a large Georgian building erected in 1836 by Joseph Solomon, a transported convict). The cottage was originally a bakery (built in 1838 and operated until the 1960s). The main bedroom is in the previous giant oven. Set amongst a mature garden and shaded by a historic walnut tree, the cottage comfortably sleeps 4. The lounge room features an open fire and smart TV (can use your Netflix, Stan account etc.). The kitchenette (semi-self contained) offers a microwave, toaster, fridge, and kettle. (but no sink or stove), a continental breakfast is part of the tariff and a cooked breakfast can be provided for an additional cost ($20pp). Guest access Only 5 minutes from Launceston airport, guests can enjoy free drop-off and pick-up (subject to availability). The entire garden is open for the use which features a wood barbeque and a variety of garden chairs; perfect for relaxing and watching the Tasmanian wildlife. There is secure parking at the door if necessary for up to three vehicles. Other things to note No pets allowed inside the cottage please. Laundry service - please enquire.
