Renovated in January 2026, we combined refined coastal design with warm, personalised hospitality in a welcoming, inclusive space 🏳️‍🌈 The space Our home, Ocean Suite, is a privately owned ocean-facing apartment set on the second floor within the tropical gardens of Bayshore Villas Resort in Candidasa, East Bali. We purchased the apartment in 2018 after falling in love with its elevated position, open-plan design and uninterrupted sea views that took our breath away. Since then, we have carefully transformed it into the relaxed coastal home we imagined it could be - a place we love and are proud to share. We now live in Bali full time and regularly stay in the suite between guest bookings. Our final renovations were completed in January 2026, and the apartment now features a brand-new custom kitchen, a spacious double-shower bathroom, upgraded water systems with great water pressure and refined finishes throughout. We especially enjoyed working with local Balinese craftspeople and materials to create this unique space. The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed and a private en-suite shower with ocean views. The second bedroom/snug can be configured as either a super-king or twin beds, making the suite ideal for couples or small families. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans, 100 Mbps fibre-optic Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace and a fully equipped kitchen are all provided for your comfort. Outside, the private balcony is the perfect place to enjoy cooling sea breezes, spectacular sunsets and panoramic ocean views. We’ve even been lucky enough to see dolphins from the balcony from time to time - we hope you are too. Ocean Suite by A&J is a peaceful beachfront hideaway - a place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the quieter side of Bali. As featured in HELLO! Guest access Guests have full and private access to the entire Ocean Suite apartment, including the balcony terrace and all indoor living spaces. The apartment enjoys uninterrupted ocean views, cooling sea breezes and the soothing sound of the waves throughout the day and night. For added security, CCTV is installed at the entrance only. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the shared facilities within Bayshore Villas, including the infinity pool, the larger pool near the restaurant and the resort grounds. The hotel restaurant and spa offer dining, massages and treatments, while laundry services can be arranged through our manager. Fresh beach towels are also provided. The major works immediately in front of Ocean Suite as part of Candidasa’s coastal restoration project have now been completed, although direct beach access from the resort remains temporarily limited while the beachfront is finished. Swimming directly in front of the resort is therefore currently restricted, so we provide complimentary daily return transport to Virgin Beach (White Sand Beach), widely considered one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches. It’s one of our favourite places to swim and spend the day at Warung Gusti. There is also plenty to explore across East Bali, and we are always happy to help arrange transport for excursions and local trips. Once your booking is confirmed, we send you our East Bali guidebook with our own recommendations for beaches, restaurants, places to visit and things to do. Or you may simply prefer to stay at Ocean Suite, enjoy the pools, the ocean views, the sunsets and the sound of the waves. We will always provide the latest local information through Airbnb messaging and are here to answer any questions if anything changes. Other things to note Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged in advance at a competitive rate (IDR 550,000 each way) through us, and we recommend this service as some drivers are not familiar with the exact location. Our manager, Pariatna, will assist with check-in and is available throughout your stay for local information, trip arrangements and general support. Life in Bali is very much open-air living, and you may occasionally see geckos - small, harmless lizards that eat insects and are considered good luck in many parts of Asia. Ants or other small insects may also appear from time to time, particularly if food is left out. If needed, our team is always happy to assist. All air-conditioning units are new and powerful. We kindly ask that they are switched off when you are out or when doors or windows are open, as we are mindful of energy use and environmental impact.
