Spacious Highton studio with free on-site parking.
Description
Very spacious, self-contained studio handy to Deakin and Epworth. Suitable for couples or singles. Safe, offstreet parking directly in front of studio. A few minutes drive to Highton Village. Close to the Barwon river if you enjoy a morning run or sunset stroll. A few minutes to the ring road for easy access to surfcoast or Melbourne and a short drive to the many attractions around Geelong. Unfortunately not suitable for children or animals. The space The bnb is a fully self-contained, converted underhouse garage space (60sm so very roomy) with private entrance at the front of the property and handy parking just a few steps away. It retains some signs of its former purpose but is now styled to be beautiful, comfortable and private and you will look out to some glimpses of the city lights and the established trees that are a feature of the area. It is an open plan arrangement with a comfy queen bed, bathroom, lounge, and kitchen area with full size fridge and microwave (no stove). Guests often say they love the space so much they don't want to leave. Guest access The guest suite is for your exclusive use and is a separate space to the rest of my home. There is an outdoor seating area in the front for your use. If the weather is kind this is a great spot to enjoy the morning sun. You can walk, run or cycle the beautiful tracks around the Barwon River. It will take you 10 minutes to walk to the river bank and it is hilly, so definitely a bit of a workout, but a great start to the day! Other things to note You will need to back out of my driveway and for several more metres on a gentle slope to exit the court. Yes, you will need a car to get around this part of Geelong! Our bayside waterfront is spectacular and about 15min by car. The nearest train station is about 15min by car. If you are travelling to Melbourne for the day, the train runs on the half hour approx. and takes less than an hour to Southern Cross Station. I am a few minutes to the ring road which gets you to the surf beaches in about 15 min. Pakington Street is a few minutes away with boutique shops and numerous eateries or head to the Bellarine peninsular to visit some great wineries. Have a look at my guestbook (see below under 'More about the Location') for other shopping options and ideas on what do and where to go.
