Lawn facing room (Ground floor)

A room for two, with a queen sized bed, an attached spacious bathroom, air conditioning, this room overlooks our lawn and opens on to our family verandah. It is very well ventilated and airy and at the same time gives privacy from the main family areas of the house. The space Our home is a 80s bungalow with a large front lawn and wide driveway - large enough for 6 to 7 cars. The property is surrounded by trees and the feel is quite laidback. The guestrooms are distributed between the main building and the two annexes. Meals (if any) are served in the family dining room. We have several spots in the property where guests can either quietly sit and read, or have enjoyable conversations. The House is superbly located for a traveller. We are in Sadul Gunj which is the premier residential area of Bikaner and it's central. Our property is on the main road and is easily approachable by any vehicle. There is a market with restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a large college campus next door which adds to the sense of openness and fresh air. There is a 2 km walking track for joggers and morning walkers. The train station is 2.5 kms and the airport 18 kms away. For any guests interested in birding there is Jorbeer Vulture Conservancy about 4 kms from us on the outskirts of the city . Other places of interest like the Junagarh fort, the bazaars, Old City with its havelis and temples are all within 5 Kms of the property. Guest access Our verandah, living room with a small library, dining area, lawn, driveway, terrace. Kitchen too if the lady of the house approves. During your stay The owners are happy to interact with the guests if the guests so want. Evenings are a great time to sit and chat about the day and get to know each other over cups of chai. We usually spend our evenings in the sitting room or in the back courtyard. Vishu keen on birding and wildlife will be happy to arrange trips to the nearby Vulture Conservancy at Jorbeer for guests who are keen birders themselves. Or to Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary. Other things to note 1. We are only open to genuine non local travellers who wish to explore Bikaner and it's surroundings. Birders, tour bicyclists, bikers are particularly welcome. We would appreciate a bit of interaction with our guests and to know a little more about their world and travels. 2. We expect the in house guests to inform us in advance if they are going to return home late. 3. The guests should know that they are booking at a owner family run homestay and we expect them follow house rules and respect the integrity of a home, as it's not a hotel.
