Description

Our beautiful house is in a quiet location with 2 train stations within 8-10 mins walk with direct trains to Osaka and Kyoto 20-30 mins by JR trains. We offer a light breakfast of toast, with jam & butter spread, & coffee/tea, plus plenty of guidance about Japan. You will experience a real Japanese life in a quiet, yet only a few mins away from Osaka & Kyoto. I also host cooking class and matcha tea ceremony at home. My husband runs a photo tour in Kyoto. Our kids (16 & 11) also speak English. The space This private room is 23 square meters or 250 square feet and has 2 single beds and 1 queen bed, so perfect for a family, a couple, or a solo traveler. There is a small sofa with a coffee table, and also balcony with the view of our neighbourhood. The house itself is quite large, 200 sq. metres or 2,200 sq. feet. You will be sharing the house with my family (two kids 12-17 years old). Guest access While staying here, you are part of the family, so you can come and watch TV with us or have a chat about your trips or simply have a cup of tea with us in the evening. We will be more than happy to help you with your travels by reccommending places or simply share our stories. We're a really friendly family and love interacting with our guests. We have a large living room, a decent sized dining room (8 people), and a modern kitchen. Please understand that sometimes we have cooking lesson, during which you won't be able to use the dinning and kitchen, but perfectly okay to use our living room. If you want to join one of the cooking classes or tea ceremony please let me know in advance. This will be at an extra fee. During your stay We've been hosting guests for many years, so we are happy to help. We enjoy learning about your country and culture, so you're more than welcome to come down and talk to us in the evenings and mornings. Other things to note Our house runs on electricity, so we don't use natural gas. This makes our house safer and also since we have solar panel, we produce more electricity on annual basis than we use, which makes it a carbon positive house (CPH) and eco-friendly.
