The space Welcome to Coachman’s Cottage — a charming and compact stay adjoining the old Coachman’s Mews, complete with its own enclosed stone-walled garden and views across the paddock towards the surrounding hills. Accessed along a garden path, the cottage opens into a welcoming entrance hall. Inside you’ll find a spacious double bedroom overlooking the garden, a cosy sitting room with open fire and southerly views towards Ceann Mhòr — the “Big Hill” — along with two single sofa beds suitable for occasional guests. The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, dishwasher and coffee pod machine, making it easy to settle into a relaxed holiday routine. A bathroom with bath, over-bath electric shower, w.c. and wash-hand basin completes the layout. Parking is available either at the rear of the building via a narrow driveway between the garden wall and neighbouring cottages, or at the front of the cottage. Coachman’s Cottage is ideal for guests looking for a comfortable, characterful base in the heart of the village. Guest access Melfort Village offers the perfect getaway for couples and families alike, with a range of on-site facilities designed for both relaxation and adventure. Couples can unwind with access to the sauna, hot tub and heated indoor swimming pool, while the cosy on-site bar and restaurant serves home-cooked meals in a warm and welcoming setting. For more active guests, an all-weather tennis court sits at the heart of the village, and there are plenty of scenic local walks to enjoy at your own pace. Families are well catered for too, with two play parks, a putting green and a football field. On rainy days, the communal games rooms provide entertainment for all ages, including air hockey, pool and table tennis, and the swimming pool is always family friendly. Dogs are very welcome at Melfort Village and even receive their own welcome pack. There’s a dedicated dog field for off-lead exercise, along with countless beautiful walks to explore in the surrounding countryside.
