Over the Top, Durham

The living room/dining room/kitchen have an airy open aspect with far reaching views and are not overlooked. The house is an upside down one with the living area/dining room/kitchen and bathroom upstairs and the bedroom downstairs. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ONE BEDROOM WITH A STANDARD DOUBLE BED. There is a fairly narrow carport, (8 feet 8 inches wide), a small front garden and a small private seating area at the rear. There is double glazing throughout and gas central heating. The space There is a downstairs bedroom and a small hallway leading to stairs to the open plan upstairs living room/dining room and kitchen. The bathroom is also upstairs. There are French windows in the dining area giving access to a small balcony with open views across the road. There is a small private area at the back of the house with a table and chairs. Fully fitted kitchen with fridge and built in freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. Freeview TV upstairs. Gas central heating. In the distance, when the leaves have fallen off the trees, it is possible to see Penshaw Monument. We have called it “Over the Top”, because the living area is upstairs and the bedroom is downstairs. We used to go to a cafe in Cockermouth, which was also called Over the Top, as it was upstairs, over the top. The car port is a tight fit as it is fairly narrow as most cars are wider now than they were when the house was built. Guest access The whole of the house, the small front garden, the rear courtyard and carport are all for the exclusive use of the guests. The house has its own driveway and car parking. Other things to note There is gas central heating, which is controlled by Hive, with a thermostat on the landing. We have been a Superhost since 2018!
