Description
Welcome to my secluded, peaceful hideaway. The studio is a large open plan space. Large sliding doors completely open up the front of the building onto the deck, giving you a feeling of always being close to nature. Surrounded by trees, orchard, lawn and garden, the studio is a quiet retreat space. The sound of the sea and bird song are always in the background. The best beach in NZ is a 15 minute walk away! The space The open space studio has a comfy queen-size bed and a separate bathroom. A small kitchen area has a hot water jug, microwave, toaster, and an electric frying pan (no stove/cooktop). There is also a BBQ on the deck. There's a fridge, plates, cutlery, cups, glasses, and a coffee plunger. The studio has great wi-fi. There's no TV but instead, you'll find playing cards, board games, books and stunning dark sky stars to watch. On your first morning, there's coffee, tea, muesli, cereal, fruit, and bread supplied. There's plenty of room for your car right by the studio and ample space for boats and bikes. There are also plenty of bush walks nearby. Close by, you're able to walk to ancient Maori pa sites, explore the magical Ohiwa Harbour, go moonlight kayaking, mountain biking on the Motu Trails or walking on the many local bush walks. The studio is 5 minutes from Ōpōtiki, where you'll find the full range of necessary shops and other facilities and it's the home of the famous Whakatōhea mussels. It's a 20 minute drive to Ōhope around the Ohiwa Harbour and the larger town of Whakatāne is around 30 minutes drive. Guest access You’re welcome to wander around the property and help yourself to some of the fruit from the trees. There’s always something in season!
