Entwhistle Cottage - central city

Entwhistle Cottage was rebuilt in 2014 after the Christchurch earthquakes. It has the warmth and conveniences of a modern build combined with the charm and character of an old cottage. It is located in tree lined Chester St East in the central city within walking distance of some great restaurants and the wonderful Margaret Mahy playground . The space Entwhistle Cottage has a lovely open plan design with the living room, kitchen and dining room all positioned to make the most of the sun. Beautiful cedar bifold and French doors open onto the private deck. We have used recycled timber for the kitchen and dining room floors and recycled wooden doors. There are two bedrooms at the front of the house - one with a Queen bed and the other with two singles which can be made into a King bed if preferred. We are happy to cater for families with a toy box, children's DVDs, games and books, a port-a-cot and highchair and a small park just opposite. The cottage would be a romantic spot for a honeymoon stay also. Guest access Guests would have the whole cottage to themselves. It is completely self catering with a kitchen and laundry facilities. Tea, coffee and sugar and some basics are provided. Other things to note Being centrally located, Entwhistle Cottage is a great place to stay to experience the unique opportunity of seeing a city rebuilt after the 2011 earthquake. There are cafes within easy walking distance, new eateries and businesses are opening up all the time and Cathedral Square is within 10 mins walk away.
