The Country Estate “El Cerezo” (The Cherry Tree) is located on the southern slope of Sierra Nevada (La Alpujarra), in the mountain region Soportujar, in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, 1,675 meters above sea level. Surrounded by stone oak and oak forests combined with a sustainable cultivation of apple, cherry, walnut and chestnut trees. Even the coast of Morocco can be seen on clear days. The country house is located on a hill of the estate surrounded by oak trees. It is 200 m2, has living and dining room with fireplace and chimney stove, integrated fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms with separate chimney stove-heater (two double rooms and two single rooms), bathroom, pantry and terrace. The House is rented with bed linen, hand and bath towels, and also firewood are included free of charge. The game collection or the library will make your stay pleasant. Also includes TV and stereo. Please ask for Wi-Fi. Parking, and in summertime ‘alberca’ (small country pool). This House is supplied by renewable energy sources like wind and solar through solar panels and windmills, as well as water from our own spring. Guest access The House is rented entirely. Other things to note Very nice in fall because of the red and gold colors of the forest and impressive in spring when the cherry trees blossom. 11 km away from Soportujar, 22 km from Capileira, arround 63 km from Granada city und arround 45 km from Granada beaches. A very interesting visit is the Buddhist Center O Sel Ling, with the mysterious goddess Tara, the stupa and the prayer wheel.
