Green Gables

Green Gables is a peaceful cottage situated in lush gardens on the banks of the Ovens River in Bright. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is right on our doorstep and we are also directly behind the Bright golf course- so pack your clubs! From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. The space The cottage is Tudor style on the outside and has a fabulously renovated interior in a modern alpine style. The brand new kitchen features stove, microwave oven, sink and fridge. There is a cosy couch and TV in the living room which opens up to the beautiful garden through bifolding doors. Even if it is chilly outside, the views will still be spectacular no matter the season.The deck off the living room is perfect for bird watching or eating breakfast while listening to the river. The loft bedroom is a peaceful escape under pitched roof with a birds-eye view through the trees and out over the garden. There is a big picture window with a cosy daybed to sit on and read or just dream the afternoon away. Please be aware there is little to no mobile reception and no internet facilities within the property including no streaming services access. We have a young Jack Russell called Clancy who is very enthusiastic and may jump when she greets you (apologies in advance). Guest access Guests have access to the garden, tree house, carport and river. Other things to note Carport parking for 1 car per reservation. Please note, spiral stair access to bedroom only and bathroom downstairs. Bikes available to borrow on request. BYO helmet No internet access.
