B&B Villa Moore
B&B Villa Moore
Description
The Villa Moore B&B is located in a beautiful 19th-century house. Surrounded by a garden with large, centuries-old trees, it is a place full of charm and history. Climbed on the hill of S. Vito, in a quiet and peaceful position, it is just a 10-minute walk from both the central Piazza Unità and the Castle of S. Giusto. The space Built in the late 1700s in a hilly area, the villa was purchased in 1833 by George Moore, a merchant and U.S. consul, who named it "Borahall" because it was exposed to the strong Bora wind. It later became the home of the family of the writer Scipio Slataper, who was born there in 1888 and described it in his book "Il mio Carso" with the words '... our house was beautiful and patriarchal...' Guest access The room is located on the ground floor of the villa, with independent access from the garden. It consists of a large double bedroom with a private bathroom and a bright veranda, from where you can access a large terrace for the exclusive use of guests, overlooking the sea. The recent pandemic prompted me to equip the veranda with a kitchenette to make my guests even more independent, limiting daily contact in the spaces reserved for them. Other things to note You will be required to pay the accommodation tax, equal to €2.30 per person for the first 5 nights of your stay. Street parking is available 24/7 in the area. If you have difficulty parking, a parking space is still available in the private garden. Access to the parking lot is recommended only for experienced drivers and small/medium-sized cars (no SUVs, no campers). The paid parking lot Park S.Giusto, just a 5-minute walk away, is also a good solution for larger cars. Please contact me before your arrival for information. Registration Details IT032006C1AC5MHIWW
