Whitstable Tree House Retreat for Artful Ambience

The Tree House Retreat is in the Heart of Whitstable, near to the beach and harbour. Whilst retaining it's own peaceful atmosphere. You’ll like the retreat because of it's Individual character. There are original art works throughout and the unique garden add's to the overall ambience of the property. Whitstable's sunset's are famous and spectacular and can be enjoyed just across the road on the beach.The Tree House would suit couples, Individuals, and Creative minded travellers alike. The space Whitstable Tree House retreat was previously the home of Jan Leyen-Decker. Jan lived in the house for 25 years. (URL HIDDEN) In renovating the house my intention was to retain and to develop the character that Jan developed during her Life there. She herself had originally restored and renovated 18,Woodlawn Street in her own creative and Individual style. She was a fashion designer,Interior designer and dressmaker herself. Her own vision and personality are also reflected in the house. As an artist myself I hope during the renovation I have added both practical and creative additions in harmony with the (URL HIDDEN) is also very much a 'living space' and my aim is to create an environment that provides a relaxing and perhaps Inspiring space for guest's to enjoy and feel comfortable in. The Tree House is'nt big but has space for 2/3 people comfortably and their is also a double sofa bed which can be utilised if guests choose to invite friends or family members overnight.There are'nt extra storage facilities however if you wish to use the sofa bed as an extra bedroom (URL HIDDEN) The house may also not be practical for Small Children given the amount of art and objects both wall hung and on tables.You can assess this for yourselves.Just to be aware and also the garden path is paved unevenly and like cobblestones isn't good for running about on! Guest access There are Two main bedrooms and two lounge Areas in The Tree House. The front lounge also contains a double sofa bed for extra visitors. The larger lounge also has a dining table and chairs a three seater Settee and a rocking chair. The kitchen which is fully equipped with everything required(no microwave) leads onto a mature garden with several fruit trees a flourishing vine and many extraordinary pieces of driftwood and artworks to admire and enjoy. The bathroom upstairs has a bath only with hand shower, which may not suit everyone who likes a quick start in the morning! Other things to note The popularity of Whitstable as a w/end (in particular)and holiday destination does mean that it may be difficult to park your car immediately outside the property.I will however endeavour to help you if you give me notice of your approx arrival time. I may be able to reserve a space nearby for you,at least for unloading! I am happy to help if i can and advise on where you might park nearby.
