Cosy cottage in Cairngorms with hot tub and sauna

You will enjoy staying in this 3 bedroom cosy and quirky late 19th century railway sleeper cottage situated next to Deshar Woods in the popular village of Boat of Garten near Aviemore. We are next door so can help you if you need any assistance or local recommendations. You can sit out in the private cottage courtyard patio space in which the hot tub is located. You are also welcome to use the sauna and Granlea gardens which include a children's play area, lawn, table tennis table, bbq area etc. The space Firhill cottage is a bungalow and has three bedrooms, one with a King size bed, one with a single bed and the third with a stacker bed for flexible use (see photos). If the room is not needed as a bedroom it can be used as a sitting room and left as a day bed. Alternatively, it can be set up as a single bed or divided into two single beds. If used as two beds, the frames are low down and most suitable for children. There are two bathrooms, one including a bath and a newly installed en suite shower room. The lounge has a log burner (wood provided), smart TV, DVD player and Wii machine. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dining table with four chairs. The lounge area also comfortably seats four with a sofa and two chairs. The sofa is a sofa bed - please advise us if you'd like to use it and we can provide extra bedding. There are patio doors from the main bedroom onto a small enclosed patio area with the hot tub. There are also patio doors from the lounge which open on to a path into the woods. Guest access As well as the cottage and the patio area, you are welcome to use the gardens shared with Granlea house (which include a children's play area, lawn, table tennis table, bbq and outdoor dining area etc.) at your own risk. Please note the hot tub in the garden is for resident use only. Please supervise children at all times. The owners do not accept liability for any injury, loss or damages incurred on the grounds of the property howsoever caused. Other things to note Please let us know how many people are staying, how many bedrooms/ beds you require, ages of any children etc. and any specific needs you might have so we can set up the rooms accordingly. A travel cot can be provided as well as other items for infants such as a high chair. Please request if needed. We are happy to welcome dogs but please do not leave unattended and keep off the furnishings. Please note that the hot tub may not be available on the day of arrival owing to the need to refill and the time to reheat. It also may be unavailable at other times if for example it needs to be re-filled or topped up or because chemical levels need time to adjust etc. Please abide by the rules as shown on the sign next to the hot tub and in the house manual. Maximum 4 people should use the hot tub at one time and it is not permitted to used it before 8am or after 9pm in order to avoid disturbing neighbours. Please also abide by the safety and hygiene rules as outlined in the manual relating to the sauna. The sauna is used occasionally by the Granlea residents but we will avoid using at the same time. Shoes must not be worn inside the hot tub (may be useful to bring crocs or similar). Do not use the other hot tub in the garden which is for Granlea House residents only. Parties on the property are not allowed. Please ask if you intend to invite visitors to the house at any time during your stay.
