Description

Our place is close to Half way between Perth and Dundee, only an hour from Edinburgh and 1 hour 15mins from Glasgow. You’ll love our place because of the location sitting at the top of the site, lovely views, lots of outdoor space, places to explore and wildlife to see. Good for couples, solo adventurers, smaller families - it sleeps 4 people max, or bigger groups if using other cottages too, and well behaved pets are welcome (though not to be left alone in the cottage unless in a crate). The space Gean Tree is a lovely cottage set at the top of the estate. Close to the pool and woodland walks, you will usually have a least two Shetland ponies as neighbours in the field next door! All on one level, with two steps at the front door to get into the cottage. The sitting/dining room has a two seater sofa and two armchairs. It has an open log fire (logs are in the box opposite the front door), TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. Two bedrooms, one a large double bedroom and a smaller single bedroom. An additional 'camp bed' is also in the cottage if you would like to use it let us know. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, hand basin and toilet. The cottage has it's own garden which has a hedge on three sides. It is not fully enclosed - re small children or pets they may 'escape' through small gaps at the bottom of the hedge or on the open side where the cottage sits. We have wildlife visitors across our site such as deer and pheasants. Also the castle's resident chickens and guinea fowl sometimes like to visit the garden. The heating is oil fired and included in the cost. Guest access Guests are welcome to stroll around the grounds which were first laid out in the 17th Century by the ancestors of the present owner. Please respect the families privacy and avoid the area immediately around the Castle. We have a simple games room with a full sized snooker table, table tennis and table football. The outdoor pool is heated and open to visitors from Easter till October or earlier if becomes too cold! Other things to note If there is a wedding during your stay, we ask that you respect the privacy of the wedding party and please avoid the front of the Castle and the Pavilion, thank you.
