Agriturismo Le Capanne: organic farm tucked away in the Tuscan hills

Apartment Maria can comfortably accommodate 7 people. The apartment is accessed via steps adjacent to the old wood-burning oven, which lead up to the covered veranda. The living room (50m²) has comfortable sofas and opens onto a large kitchen (fully equipped with oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher) with a traditional farmhouse fireplace. The sleeping accommodation is comprised of three bedrooms: one with two single beds (which can be pushed together) and an adjoining bathroom (with shower) and the other two both with double beds and en-suite bathrooms (with shower). There is also a cosy studio/fourth bedroom just off the living room. One of the double bedrooms has a romantic shaded terrace overlooking the wonderful landscape. The patio garden, perfect for dining al fresco or for relaxing while taking in the spectacular views over the olive groves, completes the apartment. The Agriturismo Le Capanne, immersed in the Tuscany countryside among Florence, Pisa and Siena, offers warm and family hospitality. Without sacrificing modern convenience, it maintains the tradition of the past, between the garden and farmyard animals. In the farmhouse there are only three apartments (Maria, Amelia, Andreina) to ensure a comfortable and exclusive holiday. A common area in the ancient heart of the building is available to read a book, browse our collection of farming and domestic implements that tell the story of country life in Tuscany over the last century (our “farming museum”) or have a cup of tea. Upon arrival you will be greeted by our organic welcome basket. In our agritourism you can deeply breathe the peace offered by Nature. There isn't luxury, but comfort for wellbeing. Aromas, landscapes, sounds, tranquillity. Hopefully they are of help to reconnect with one’s own inner rhythm and nature. Swimming pool (6 m x 12 m, seasonal opening) shared among the guests of the 3 apartments. Availability of extra beds. Barbeque. Private parking. Pets are welcome. All utilities (electricity, gas, water), linens (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen – change once a week), parking and the use of swimming pool are included in the rate. The tourist tax of 1 euro/per person aged above 13/per day (for a maximum of 6 nights), the initial and final cleaning and the heating are not included. Our wonderfully rich organic extra virgin olive oil and eco-cosmetics are available to buy. We deeply value and respect the privacy of our guests but at the same time we are happy to share suggestions and tips about our area and its amenities. Our family house is within a 3 minutes walk of the agriturismo and we are always around in case you need anything or just feel like a chat. Only 1 Km far, in the tiny village "Iano", there is a restaurant and a horse-riding. In the surrounding area there are several organic farms which sell their products (do not miss the lovely pasta made with old grains!). From our agritourism you can go for a walk in marvellous woods and landscapes, reaching the ruins of an old village. Golf green is 6 Km far (Castelfalfi). Nearest railway station is 18 Km far (Castelfiorentino). Florence is 65 Km far. You need a car to get to the agritourism.
