Yurt Orion is a warm and colourful retreat for two, set in a wide meadow in the heart of nature. Sleep beneath the stars, wake to birdsong, and enjoy peace, privacy and comfort. With a wood stove and private outdoor facilities (eco toilet and hot shower) it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy each season. Whether you're here to relax, explore, or simply be, this yurt offers a unique stay full of charm and tranquility. The space Yurt Orion is one of three stand-alone yurts at a small, peaceful retreat in the Achterhoek countryside. Set in a wide open field with stunning views, this yurt offers the perfect escape into nature. Ideal for two guests, it’s fully equipped for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with a wood-burning stove, a comfortable bed, and a well-equipped kitchen including a fridge and 4-burner gas stove. Basic supplies like coffee, tea, oil, herbs, and candles are provided. Outside, there’s a private wooden deck with open views—perfect for enjoying sunrise, sunset, and even stargazing at night. Right next to the yurt is your own sanitary unit, featuring a clean and user-friendly eco-dry toilet (no sawdust needed) and a hot outdoor shower. We provide bathrobes, towels, and eco-friendly care products. In summer, a silent fan keeps the space cool. During the warmer months, a spacious mosquito net is installed above the bed—not only practical, but also with a romantic touch. In winter, the yurt stays warm thanks to double insulation, extra blankets, a wood stove (wood included), and a backup electric heater. Hot water is available year-round. In case of extreme frost, the outdoor shower may be limited, but we do our best to keep it accessible. Search “restaurant + [place]” on Google Maps to find something that matches your taste. Guest access There are three yurts on the property, each placed far apart to ensure full privacy. Each yurt has its own private sanitary facilities. Parking is available at the central parking area near the farmhouse. From there, follow the marked path to your yurt (approx. 150 metres). The path is unpaved. A handcart is available to transport your luggage. Please note: Public transport to this location is limited. Other things to note Reservations are only possible for a maximum of two people; the yurt is not suitable for groups, children, or pets. The yurt is comfortable and luxurious, but it remains a tent: you're staying in the heart of nature and may hear sounds such as birds, wind, and occasionally activities from the surrounding farmland, which follow no fixed schedule. We always aim to consider our guests' presence. If major work or events are planned that were not known at the time of booking, we will inform you in advance and offer the option to reschedule free of charge. In case of extreme weather forecasts (such as storms, heavy wind gusts, or prolonged frost), where we cannot guarantee safety or the functioning of key facilities (especially water), we will contact you to discuss a possible free rescheduling.
