The space Novella House is a large apartment situated in the heart of Florence’s historical center just steps away from the Officina Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. The train station (SMN), as well as the Cathedral square, the San Lorenzo marketplace and the lovely Arno river are all within a five minute walk from the property. The apartment itself is situated on the second floor of a 19th century building (with elevator) on the quiet street of Via del Porcellana near the corner of Via della Scala; an area rich in culture, restaurants and shops. This large two bedroom, two bath apartment, with its frescoed ceilings and ample rooms, is cozy and bright. The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), the Uffizzi Gallery, the Bargello museum, as well as Michelangelo’s home, are all within a ten minute walk of the property. There are also splendid piazze (squares) like Piazza Duomo, Piazza Santa Maria Novella and Piazza della Repubblica in the immediate vicinity. The latter being a spot to enjoy an Italian espresso in one of the many outdoor cafès while people watching. There are gift shops, grocery stores and an array of restaurants, all surrounding the apartment. Making it a convenient location to hang one’s hat while exploring the enchanting city of Florence. For those looking for Italian brand name shopping, the Via Tornabuoni, with its Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Tiffany boutiques, is a short five minute walk away.
