The eat-in kitchen always contains a basic set of spices, up to vegetable stock cubes, good oil and vinegar, some flour if you want to bake pancakes. We are also happy to shop for you before the day of arrival and fill your refrigerator if you give us a list. The nearest discount store (Netto) can be reached in 900 meters by car. An artisanal baker is in the neighboring town of Nievern (near the train station) and also drives here by car on Saturday morning, approx. 10:30. At the village community center there is a vending machine where you can buy basic food by coin or card. The household includes a Senseo coffee machine, espresso pot, porcelain filter for hand-filtered coffee, as well as accessories such as a blender, cake molds or mixer, if you want to bake something delicious in bad weather. There are brooms and vacuum cleaners, if something breaks, you can remove it. In the living room there is also a wardrobe with hangers. We provide a hand towel and bath towel per person and change them as needed. If you want to go to the spa, we will also gladly provide you with another bath towel. The village of Fachbach has good connections all around on foot, by bike, car and train. There is wild nature: behind our house was once a vineyard, some old walls in the steep terrain are still recognizable. Viticulture was abandoned as early as the 1950s and since then a natural forest has formed there on its own, a mix of oaks, beeches, hazel bushes, hawthorn. There is water at the waterfall, which unfortunately can no longer be seen, the forest has overgrown it, but sometimes you can hear it. Many animals have settled among the plants, especially a variety of birds that rarely find such good conditions. The dormouse has conquered the gazebo and may watch you at the picnic. Guest access You have a self-contained apartment with 60 sqm, a living/bedroom, a spacious shower room and a kitchen-living room. Views of nature and the sky. You can use the garage to safely store valuable bicycles. A car parking space on the premises is available. You have a picnic basket that you can fill and take with you into the garden. There is a rustic arbor, with a table and old farmer's bench, in which there are pillows, blankets and skins, all regularly freshly washed and cleaned. You can use the kettle grill, badminton or softball game, bocce balls. The garden has a large playground or lawn in the middle. Other things to note Another important note: Our house is a non-smoking house without pets. Smoking inside is not allowed. We will be happy to provide you with ashtrays in the gazebo.
