"Diospero" Cottage in Tuscany - Sarteano - Siena

Originally built in 1692 as Borgo Fastelli, it is a historic residence that rises high above the Val d'Orcia (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Located west of Monte Cetona, about 16 km from the Chiusi exit on the A1 highway, Italy's main highway. This 115 m² cottage, called Diospero (persimmon tree), in the middle of the hamlet, with its two floors offers all the comforts for an unforgettable stay for 4 (+2) people. The space In one of the most pristine corners of Tuscany, immersed in the area with the most representative landscapes, yet only 20 minutes from the highway that crosses the country from north to south, the hamlet of "Borgo Fastelli" is a historic hamlet from 1765, fully restored with great attention to preserving the original features and details, while facilities and amenities have been added to ensure that you can fully enjoy your stay and relax. The Complex is diverted 2 km from the SP478 (Km 13.1 on milestone) road between the medieval villages of Sarteano and Radicofani, close to Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni and within driving distance of Siena, Florence and Rome. The "Diospero" cottage of 115 m², spread over two levels, has two large bedrooms and a living room with open kitchen. The lower floor offers a spacious bedroom with two single beds, a wardrobe and an entrance from the garden. A bathroom with bathtub and a washing machine completes the ground floor. A staircase leads to the upper floor with a large and pleasantly spacious living room with a sofa, a dining table and a TV. The room has a high ceiling with traditional wooden beams, a second entrance with porch and a stone staircase to the garden and an enchanting view of the Orcia valley. The open kitchen is equipped with a hob, fridge, freezer, modern oven-microwave, dishwasher, double sink, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine. On the same floor is the bedroom with a baldaquin double bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. The second bathroom with shower completes the room. On request, a cot for a baby of up to 3 years old can be added at no extra cost. Guests are provided with bed linen and towels for the bathroom, shower and swimming pool. The garden has a large wooden table with 6 chairs and a parasol. There is also a swimming pool, a nice playground and a tennis court. Guest access Our guests can access their home from 4 p.m. through a key box. The house is being fixed up. These ladies can possibly provide extra towels or bedding or an extra cleaning (for an additional fee). Other things to note Important to know: *) The availability of the swimming pool is seasonal. In the past 5 years, it has always been possible to open around mid-May to mid-September. If the use of the swimming pool is a requirement, please contact us to confirm that it will be open on the dates you are interested in. *)During the cold weather seasons, the gas for the heating system will be charged based on consumption. There is a pellet stove that can heat the house quickly (both the upper and lower floors) and will keep gas consumption limited. For further information, please contact the hosts. *) The use of the washing machine is included in the rent. *) In the house there is a Nespresso machine including 10 capsules. Of course, you can bring your own capsules from home. If desired, we can also prepare a Senseo coffee machine for you. For tea lovers, there is a kettle available. You are free to bring and use your own linens. The double bed is 160 cm wide and 200 cm long. The two single beds are 80 cm wide and 200 cm long. *) The cleaning fee is 125.00.
