The Side is a self contained, private modern annexe boasting sea views and full use of a luxury hot tub. The Side is just a 5 minute stroll downhill to Horton & Port Eynon Bay. The space The Side, at Westernside Cottage, is a beautifully converted 19th century farm bakehouse (2014) offering modern luxury in the heart of Horton village, Gower. This private, self-contained annexe blends historic charm with contemporary comforts, featuring a year round hot tub, underfloor heating and stunning sea views. It is located off the main road up a quiet lane, and a short 5 minute stroll downhill to Horton beach. Perfect for couples and solo travellers, it is your gateway to the Gower Peninsula’s iconic beaches, coastal trails, and romantic wedding venues. (King Arthur Hotel, Fairyhill, Oxwich Bay Hotel & Oldwalls). The Side. The property sits moments from the Wales Coast Path – perfect for hiking to Worm’s Head at low tide or cycling through the rolling dunes. Ground Floor. Accessed by stepping into a bright lounge via patio doors, leading to the south facing garden. From the lounge a few steps up, leading to a small but well equipped galley kitchen and then onto the sleek bathroom with a large modern rain shower. Mezzanine Bedroom. Climb the staircase in the lounge, to your romantic loft-style suite, where a plush king bed and sea views await. Outside Space. There are two south facing patio areas with views of the sea – dine in the evening sun or sip bubbly in the hot tub, It is the perfect place to sit and listen to the wild bird song. Premium bed linens, fluffy towels and toiletries are included, along with a starter pack of tea & coffee, oil and salt & pepper. Tech-Friendly. Stream movies through the Smart TV provided in the lounge area, or to work remotely with ultra fast fibre optic wi-fi. We have an EV Charger available. Each charge costing an additional £20.00. Guest access Guests will have sole access to the annex and outside patio with hot tub and sea views. On arrival you will collect keys from a key safe and be free to come and go as you please. Parking is provided, it is located on the main house driveway. At the rear of the house, once parked up walk down the side of the main house, through the front gate and you will see the annex french doors located straight ahead of you. The key safe is located to the left of the patio doors. Other things to note Due to low ceilings in the bathroom, the height of the shower head is lower than normal (6ft from shower head to tray), there is also a handheld shower head. We have two Toy poodle dogs, if they are out on the drive we will close the gates. If for any reason you do not like dogs please let us know and we will ensure you do not meet them. The house and annexe are heated by an air source heat pump which is located on the flat roof of the annexe kitchen, in winter it can vibrate a little causing light noise, but if doors are closed can not be heard from the bedroom.
