Spacious & Historical 2-Story House on Tangier

Welcome to Zeus's Landing, a folk Victorian cottage with a contemporary vibe. This spacious two-story house is located at the heart of the Tangier's historical district, and it is close to all restaurants, shops, and the beach. Our cottage was built in 1890s, and it is listed in the registration form when Tangier Island appears on the National Register of Historical Places. It has been recently renovated with modern amenities, including brand-new Australian Cypress floors throughout the house. The space The entire house is accessible to you, except two rooms that I keep my personal belongings and cleaning supplies (one on the upstairs and one on the downstairs). During your stay, there is no sharing with others (or me). The area you have access is around 1500 square feet. This is a spacious house spanning two floors. For the areas you have access to, the first floor has a living room (where you watch TV), a sitting room (sofa/couch) connected to a dining room with windows on 2 sides, a kitchen, a bathroom (shower + toilet), and a laundry area; on the second floor, you will have access to 2 bedrooms. In addition, we have a screened front porch, and a front yard and a backyard. The backyard has a tool shed, not accessible to guests. Upstairs, there are 2 queen-sized beds, one in each bedroom. By popular demand, we now also place a single bed in each bedroom (starting 2022) to accommodate families. Downstairs, we have 2 couches in the living/sitting room. When there is a need, we also have an air mattress that can sleep 2 people. Guest access Tangier is an (almost) car-free island. Unless you are a resident, you cannot bring a car to the island. With the inconvenience comes its charm: forget the traffic and unplug. During the warmer months, there are ferries from 3 locations: Crisfield MD (north of us), Reedville VA (west of us), and Onancock VA (east of us). Depending on where you are, choose the location most convenience to you and park your car there (very easy for all 3 loccations) before you get on the ferry. You are strongly encouraged to look at the ferry schedule before you book. To do so, do a quick websearch "Tangier ferry X" where X is one of the 3 location names. During the colder months (Oct - May), we are still reachable by ferries (Yeah, we don't get cut off from the rest of the world in the winter :-)), but only through Crisfield MD. Other things to note We have Wifi access at the house. We have Roku on the TV, and you can access Netflix for free. For other channels supported by Roku, log in through your own account if you have any. In May 2022, we have installed a brand new A/C system, and a new BBQ grill.
