Original Coastal Cottage with garden and view

Burwelle Cottage is a freshly renovated period cottage with a small beautifully landscaped garden and uninterrupted views across fields to the ocean. The property sits on the edge of the village of St Merryn, with a bakery, News Agents, Garage, shop, pubs, wine bar, restaurants and take away all within walking distance. Just over a mile away lie the stunning beaches of Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby's Bay and around the headland of Trevose Head, Mother Ivy's and Harlyn. The space Our Cottage is one of the oldest in the area and has been a much loved home for many years. We have recently rejuvenated it, trying wherever possible to keep original features, we have also added an en suite bedroom with a Juliet balcony to make the most of the sea views and stunning sunsets. The cottage has a fully equipped open plan, light, airy kitchen/dining room space, including a double oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The patio glass doors open out on to the beautiful garden. The cottage garden has been landscaped to make the most of the space. It includes a large table and benches that overlook the uninterrupted views to the sea and Trevose head, perfect for relaxing with a glass of something after a long day at the beach, a secluded day bed and a small under cover space. There is an outdoor tap to wash off the sand and dogs and an outside toilet. The garden is enclosed with a gate. The sitting room is separated from the kitchen with bespoke glass doors which allow the light to flow through but keep the noise down and heat in in the wintertime includes a comfy sofa, 2 chairs, books and board games and a smart TV with Netflix and Bose Bluetooth sound bar. There is a small bedroom downstairs with a double bed, south facing window with small window seat and 2 larger rooms upstairs, one with a double bed, built in shelving and wardrobe and a charming, south facing window seat perfect for reading and one with a king size bed, a small en suite and double glass doors opening onto a Juliet balcony. Both bathrooms have baths and showers. Next to the second bathroom upstairs there is a small laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The master bedroom includes a separate office space and this whole area can be locked. We accept up to 2, small, well behaved dogs but ask that they are contained to the downstairs of the cottage, there is a door at the bottom of the stairs to accommodate this. There is safe off road parking for one vehicle and space for a second car to park in front of property on the road. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and garden. There is a safe, flat, pavement walk to the village and access to dog walks from the cottage. Also access to public footpaths to the surrounding beaches. The garden has gate and is safe for dogs Other things to note We give a reduced rate of 10% off if you book 7 or more days in low season. (Beginning of April to end of June and Sept) We are committed to Air B andB’s enhanced cleaning process and do the changeover clean ourselves to ensure that it is done to our high standards. We ask our guests to strip all beds and place linen at the bottom of the beds or in the laundry room at the end of your stay (including towels, bath mats and tea towels please) As with many old cottages the door linings into the upstairs bathroom and downstairs bedroom are quite low. Although we accept up to 2 small, well behaved dogs we ask that they are kept downstairs and off furniture and beds. We do not charge a cleaning fee, however we ask you to leave our cottage as you find it. Although we accept a maximum of 5 guests we charge an extra guest fee of £40 a night for the 5th guest. This is to cover extra cleaning, laundry and basic wear and tear on our cottage. we have a security deposit set at £400, no money changes hands but if there is any damage or the house is left in a state and it takes us longer than normal to clean we will go through air b and b to recover our losses.
