Description
Our 19th Century Chateau is well furnished and fully equipped to the highest standards, whilst retaining its original charm; with tiled floors, ornate ceilings and period woodwork. It offers spacious accommodation, ideal for large groups of family or friends. The space The welcoming entrance hall leads to two spacious period reception rooms; Le Salon, with TV (including UK satellite “freeview” channels) with a large dining area and the Library with an extensive range of books/games for your enjoyment and relaxation. We also provide plenty of children’s books/toys for the little ones. The large, fitted and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen offers a warm hub to gather and cook; facilities include a dishwasher, microwave, gas hob/electric fan oven, filter coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. (capsules not supplied) Attached to the kitchen, the utility room has a washing machine and ironing facilities, an additional fridge freezer as well as a ground floor cloakroom. On the first floor, there is a large family suite with an ensuite bathroom. This has a double bed and sofa bed, suitable for children. There is also another double room as well as a twin room, with a flexible bed arrangement for a superking if desired; both with ensuite shower rooms. All rooms are comfortably furnished in classic French style, with crisp white bed linen. The top floor has a spacious king bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom, large bath and separate shower. Alongside this bedroom, there is a large 4-bedded room (one double and 3 single beds) with a separate ensuite shower. These rooms are ideal for families, as the rooms are adjoining yet separate. During the winter, there is gas central heating as well as a real log fire (logs provided). A Christmas tree and decorations can be provided for bookings over the festive period. Guest access The chateau’s extensive grounds offer superb private space exclusively for the use of chateau guests. We provide plenty of tables, chairs & sun loungers as well as BBQ facilities for “Al Fresco” dining. On-site Facilities include: * 12m x 6m heated outdoor pool set within a gated, walled garden with spacious terrace and 2 large pergolas, offering guests separate areas to enjoy the pool garden. * Scenic walks and cycle routes directly from our properties * Games room with pool table * Table Tennis * Badminton * A large selection of bicycles in varying sizes available for guests’ use * Boules * Orchard with large grass playing area, ideal for playing family fun games like football, cricket *Satellite TV (“freeview” channels only) & DVD player COVID: We are constantly reviewing government advice and guidelines and our priority is ensure that the safety of our guests and that they are happy and comfortable with the necessary precautions. Other things to note Taxe de Séjour”; this local tourist tax of €1 pp/night is payable for all guests over 18 years at the end of your stay. Disabled/Carers are exempt. Should you require towels, these are available upon request at €7.50 per set, payable on arrival. Each set consists of 1 large bath sheet, 1 hand towel and 1 pool towel. Please ensure that your requirements are noted at time of booking so that they are ready for you on arrival. Adequate end of stay cleaning is expected.
