The Dairy
The Dairy
Description
The Dairy is literally an old milking parlour which has been turned into spacious accommodation on this working dairy farm. The unit has a more modern feel to it than the Farmhouse. Lovely views of the dam & Outeniqua mountains and a big "farm pool" with deck. Wood-fired hot tub on a wooden deck on the patio. The space The Old Dairy has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (main bedroom is en-suite) - both with showers only. Main bedroom has a queensize bed. The 2nd bedroom has twin single beds and a bunk bed to sleep 4 guests. Total of 6 guests to be accommodated. The house is very spacious and modern. It has a lovely view of a farm dam and the Outeniqua mountains. There is a big stoep (veranda) with braai facilities. There is also a Dover stove in the open-plan kitchen area which heats up the whole house in winter (and to prepare food or to keep the coffee pot boiling). The kitchen is well equipped and has a gas stove with electric oven, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, microwave oven, etc. The Dairy is close to the bustle of the quaint villages of Hoekwil and Wilderness, but far enough from the bustle to get some peace and quiet once you have visited some of the tourist attractions in the Garden Route. Guest access The Dairy is rented out as a unit. The privacy of our guests is guaranteed. It is a stand alone home with private entrance. The owners live close enough to be of assistance and to help guests settle when they check in. Other things to note Libertas Guest Farm is an established accommodation provider since January 2012. There is an unfenced farm dam approximately 80m from the house. Huge open lawn areas provides lots of space for kids to play. We have turned a concrete water reservoir into a swimming pool. This farm pool has a wooden deck around it and has proven to be a hit with the guests. Lovely for sundowners and great for summers days. A boma fireplace is available in front of the house in the old kraal where the cows used to gather before being milked.
